Some images from Marazion Beach (Red river) taken on Sunday.
EXIF:Canon 1D MKII, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM, ISO 800, 2 and 3= Partial Metering 4 and 5= Spot Metering, f/5.6. Sorry about the weird orange tint that was the sun setting behind me.
EDIT: first image is the original of image #3. For Liam.
Great shots, don't apologies about the light thats what makes them good!! Number 3 is my fave, I don't suppose you have a reflection in the orginal or is this full frame?
ReplyDeleteliam.
Ash - ditto on the above. The sun setting behind you is perfect (obviously that's just my opinion!).
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie/Liam, I have added the original pic of number 3 so you can see what bit I cropped out.
ReplyDeletePerfect.
ReplyDeletethe shots are good, in fact I think the backround enhances the photo's.
ReplyDeletePossibly your best work young lad...
ReplyDeleteWow.... These are some of the best shots ive seen... Might be coming to you for some tips.... Keep up the good work mate. Havent been able to get out since the last bit of holiday but i am trying to get out! You've got quite a few birds i havent seen and ive been birding since 1999! Good work hopfully meet up with you soon. All the best. Jack
ReplyDeleteWell done Ash - these are your best shots to date. The "weird orange" light (as you put it) is actually brilliant and a real rarity in that shade. It's what Andy Rouse call Red 5 - look it up and you will see what he means. I would mark 1, 2, 3, as excellent...believe me, I would give my right arm to get pictures like that in that light.
