Marazion

Photo's from a very very cold afternoon at Marazion. The bittern was around but not when I was there :-( The weather has effected most of the birds on the marsh but mainly the Redwing and Fieldfare, about 200+ flying to and from the marsh and beach in search of food. Hope they find it! The first shot is a knot on the beach, Handheld 1DMKII and 400mm f/5.6
Second, Golden Plover from Roadside, Tripod mounted 1D MKII and Canon 600mm f/4 + 1.4X TC. @f5.6
Third, Teal From Roadside, Tripod mounted, Canon 1D MKII and Canon 600mm f/4 + 1.4X TC @f/5.6.
Anyone out today will agree it was cold!!
Thanks Bob for letting my borrow the 600mm.

  8. Amazing pics Ashley. I must confess you are a brilliant photographer. I wish I had the equipment and experience that you have with photographing birds. I hope to get a digiscope at some point this year, but goodness knows when that'll be.

    Cheers,

    Joseph

  10. Beautiful shots, Ashley. Your photos are excellent and improving all the time. I'm envious of you being able to borrow those fabulous lenses, though, but that's a slippery slope because you are going to end up wanting one! I had a go on the 500mm and the 600mm at the Bird Fair in 2008 but I think I'll be saving until I'm ninety before I can afford to get one!

Keep up the good work :-)
